Ryan Reynolds is pushing anyone over the age of 45 to have a colonoscopy by going through the operation on video.

On Tuesday, the Deadpool actor posted a video of himself getting a colonoscopy, claiming that it was a penalty for losing a wager with Wrexham FC co-owner Rob McElhenney.

The Canadian actor added that if Rob learnt Welsh, he would video and broadcast himself going through the intimate operation.

Rob then described the wager in Welsh, to which Ryan responded, “Rob and I turned 45 this year which means getting to an age is getting a colonoscopy."

It’s a simple step that could literally, and I mean literally, save your life.”

In a more serious occasion, Ryan's doctor informed him that a "very subtle polyp" had been discovered during the colonoscopy.

The doctor even added that this literally saved his life and he assured he is not exaggerating. The doctor urged that this is why people need to do this to save their lives.

In truth, the It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia star was diagnosed with three polyps on his colon, which were quickly removed.
